Traditional Canvas Products

We generally recommend either marine acrylic canvas or PVC for furniture covers as the traditional canvas is quite a heavy and expensive way to make, while also having a tendency to shrink.

The beauty of PVC is that the material is completely waterproof and quite inexpensive compared to other materials. It's easy to clean and drip dry making it easy to quickly pack up and store without having to go overboard drying it out just before a party or use of the furniture.

The drawback with PVC is that it’s not breathable, so if the furniture is in a moist area like on grass the overnight condensation can cause the furniture to still get wet even under a cover. This is when we generally recommend acrylic canvas as its a breathable yet still waterproof material that will allow moisture to evaporate through the material but not allow water in droplet form to penetrate the fabric.

Morley Canvas custom manufactures all cover to suit your furniture making sure even when the covers are on it doesn't look too out of place and a relatively tight fit, while still easy enough for one person to put on and take off with little hassle. We can even manufacture the covers on couches and seats that can still be used with the cover in place.

Traditional fabric covers are a great way to protect your furniture from animals, food and beverages.

Our professional installation team can either come out and measure onsite, or you can send us a photo and we can send back a drawing with the measurements required, making a cover from there.

Most of our fabric covers will easily last 5 to 10 years, if not longer. However, this will depend on what material you would prefer and we’ll discuss the pro’s and con’s, as well as give an expected timeframe before requiring replacement.

We highly recommend covering your outdoor furniture if it's in direct sunlight, exposed to wind or rain, or pets or frequently used.

The benefits of covering your furniture include:

• Limiting furniture exposure to the elements, especially sunlight
• If you have wicker furniture that won't dry out and break due to sun damage
• If you have wood furniture, allowing you to varnish less often and stain the wood less often.

If your furniture is in a windy area, furniture covers can hold the furniture together so chairs don't go flying around the yard or balcony potentially causing damage to the furniture or property.
